The 3* Motel One Waterlooplein has 132 compact rooms with contemporary decor. All include free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV and ensuite bathroom with rainfall shower and organic toiletries. Throughout the hotel the concept of natural and handcrafted materials is part of the decor. The One Lounge is styled with items bought from the Waterlooplein flea market and upcycled into light fittings and furnishings. Buffet breakfast is served in the One Lounge Bar and is open throughout the day. Although there is no restaurant, the hotel is surrounded by plenty of places to eat and staff will be happy to make recommendations. PLEASE NOTE: Tourist Tax is 12.5% of the room rate, payable on arrival at the hotel.

Located just 5 minutes from the famous Waterlooplein square in the centre of the city, the 3* Motel One is a popular tourist hotel. The Waterlooplein market is one of the oldest in the Netherlands and has hundreds of stall selling vintage and unusual items. 15 minutes walk from the hotel is Dam Square, home to the Royal Palace where there are also many restaurants and bars and cafes.

Getting there:

BY TRAIN: From Amsterdam Central Station exit onto Stationsplein and take a tram on route 14 towards Javaplein. Alight after 5 stops at Mr. Visserplein. Walk back along Muiderstraat onto Mr. Visserplein and take the pedestrian crossing and turn right onto Valkenburgerstraat. PLEASE NOTE: Tourist Tax is 12.5% of the room rate, payable on arrival at the hotel.
