The Point A Edinburgh Haymarket, opened in 2019, has 149 rooms designed in a contemporary, minimalist style, with the focus on comfort and relaxation. Although compact they are well appointed with space saving features and en-suite bathrooms with power shower. Some rooms are inside facing, without windows, but are all fully air-conditioned and have individually controlled mood lighting. There are also rooms available with city views and all have comfortable Hypnos beds, flat screen TV, complimentary Wi-Fi,& powerful hairdryers. Although the hotel does not have a restaurant or bar there are plenty of places to suit all tastes in the local area. Continental breakfast is available each morning, guests can choose from a selection of hot drinks, juices and food items including pastries, cereals and fresh fruit. Getting there:
BY TRAIN: From Edinburgh Haymarket Station walk west on Morrison Street towards Gardener`s Crescent, continue to follow Morrison Street and continue onto Haymarket. Make a slight left and the hotel will be on you left.
BY CAR: From Junction 1 of the M8, exit onto The City of Edinburgh Bypass/A720 towards City Bypass North. After 0.9 miles merge onto The City of Edinburgh Bypass/A720, at the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A8 slip road to City centre/Edinburgh/Leith. Continue for 0.3 miles and merge onto Glasgow Road/A8, after 3.7 miles continue straight onto Haymarket Terrace. After 0.2 miles continue onto Clifton Terrace and then onto West Maitland Street/A8. Use the 2nd from left lane to turn right onto Torphichen Street. Continue straight on and follow this road for 0.2 miles then use the left 2 lanes to turn slightly onto Morrison Street/B700 and the hotel will be on your left. "Exceeded our expectations "
Came here for short break. This was our 2nd choice hotel and so glad we ended up here. The staff are friendly and efficient. Our room, although small was spotless and comfortable and suited our needs perfectly. We had no window but the lighting was great and the upside is that the room was so quiet. All in all a great stay that suited our needs perfectly Breakfast was rather good too.

"Great first stay in Edinburgh!"
The hotel was very clean. Staff were really polite and couldn`t do enough to help you. I`m currently pregnant and they gave me extra pillows to allow for a comfy night`s sleep. The beds were extremely comfortable anyway. The rooms although small were super efficient with everything you needed. The location was perfect with only a short walk away from some of Edinburgh`s best bits. I wouldn`t hesitate to stay here again!

We found the Point A hotel in Edinburgh very smart and clean, an ideal place to stay for a couple of nights and very close to the Haymarket train station, the staff were very friendly and helpful , we would definitely stay again.

We`ll priced for a hotel in a prime central location. The staff were so helpful and was amazed by the standard of rooms and cleanliness. We`ll done point A.

"Disappointed"
We stayed there between 8th April until 11th April. Our room was not serviced during our entire stay. We spoke to a receptionist who said he would speak to the manager. The receptionist we spoke to on Monday morning, said that an unmade bed would not ruin a holiday. We had not left anything on the bed. We felt he was been rude as our bed was not made all weekend. Nor was our room properly serviced. In fact, nothing would have been done, if we had not complained to reception. The manager, Martin, who we saw sitting in the office, would not come out to speak to us, he had his rude receptionist do his dirty work. The rude receptionist offered us 25% off our next stay at this hotel. We also overheard a cleaner talking to the rude receptionist saying that they have had problems with that cleaner before (the one who should have been servicing our room). The rest of the staff were very nice and helpful. Shame that cleaner, rude receptionist and manager let the side down.

"Great short stay"
Stopped for a couple of nights while visiting Edinburgh, the hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, the hotel is clean and the location is spot on for visiting the attractions of Edinburgh and the train station. I have stopped in Point A hotels a couple of times now in London and Edinburgh, and I will stay again. I highly recommend staying here.

"Great Stay"
Thank you for a pleasant stay. Tommy`s were very clean, minimal, but very comfortable. The shower was amazing! Breakfast was generous. The staff very accommodating.
