The Ro

There are 87 modern refurbished en-suite guestrooms at The Ro, each with in-room amenities including: complimentary Wi-Fi, flatscreen Smart TV, Eco Boutique toiletries and a hairdryer. Guests can make the most of the elegant on-site Lacu Restaurant, which offers delicious and carefully crafted dishes made from the freshest and highest-quality ingredients. Al Fresco Dining is also available on the Outdoor Terrace, which overlooks Lake Windermere and the beautiful countryside. Hotel and location:

The Ro is a 4* hotel situated in the heart of Windermere and Bowness. Getting to the hotel is easy with Windermere Railway Station being just a 5-minute drive away or visitors can take a 30-minute stroll through calm country lanes to the hotel. There is lots to do in this location such as visiting The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, which is just a 5-minute walk from the hotel. Visitors can also take a walk in any direction and explore the beautiful scenery that the Lake District has to offer. There are many local pubs and eateries to warm up and enjoy a drink or meal in after wandering the beautiful area.

Getting there:

BY TRAIN: Exit the Rail Station and walk left to Stop 1 Bus Stop. Take either the number 6 or 599 bus, which takes 7-minutes to get to Royalty Cinema Stop. Walk right down Lake Rd then turn right again to follow Biskey Howe Rd. Follow this road around the right bend and follow until you reach the hotel on your right.
BY CAR: Follow the M6 and take junction 36 towards Barrow/Windermere/Kendal and merge onto A590. Continue on this road until the roundabout where you go straight onto the A591. Follow this road past Kendal and onto Windermere, then turn left onto High St. High St will become Victoria St and then continue onto Crescent Rd/A5074 and follow. This will lead onto Lake Rd, where you turn left onto Helm Rd and then turn left again onto Biskey Howe Fold. The hotel will be on the right.
