The Winchester Royal Hotel is in a quiet street in the heart of historic Winchester, just a short walk from the railway station. The city is rich in medieval architecture including the cathedral, which is the final resting place of Jane Austen who lived for many years in the city. The surrounding cobbled streets offer a variety of shops, cafes and restaurants, many with outside seating.

Getting there:

BY TRAIN: From Winchester Station walk down Station Hill. Make a slight right onto City Road and after 0.2 miles turn right onto St peter Street for the hotel.
BY CAR: From A303 merge onto A34 and after 8 miles at the roundabout take the 4th exit onto Easton Lane. Continue to stay on this route through the next roundabout. Easton Lane turns left and becomes Union Street. Follow this route and then turn right onto Friarsgate. After 0.4 miles turn right onto St Peter Street for the hotel.
