The Show
James McAvoy (X-Men, Split, Victor Frankenstein, IT Chapter 2) makes a stunning return to London's West End with this new production of Cyrano de Bergerac. De Bergerac is a talented writer and swordsman who finds himself in love with the beautiful and intelligent Roxane. He fears however that his large nose will cause her to shun him and his love for her. Can his wit, linguistic acumen and "panache" help him overcome all odds and his fear of rejection; or will he lose Roxane forever!?

History of Cyrano de Bergerac
Cyrano de Bergerac was written by Edmond Rostand in 1897 and was set in 17th century France. The play is a fictionalisation of the real Cyrano de Bergerac and is a dramatisation, somewhat embellished, of his life. The original play was written entirely in verse and used rhyming couplets with twelve syllables per line. Having been performed and translated many times the show is credited with introducing the word "panache" to the English language. Martin Crimp has modernised and adapted the show for this 2019 production which is due to star X-Men star James McAvoy.
Please Note: The play is only suitable for ages 12+ due to nudity and strong language.
