The Show
Princess Elsa is set to become Queen of Arendelle, her sister Anna is overjoyed, and the party is planned, but Elsa has a secret, one she is terrified of her sister and the people of Arendelle discovering. It all seems to be going according to plan, until Anna drops a bombshell, she is getting married, to a man she just met. Coupled with the constant questions from Anna and having been locked away for so long, Elsa unleashes her powers by accident, covering the Arendelle in eternal winter. Deciding she is better alone Elsa runs and crafts her own castle of ice to keep everyone out, but Anna is persistent and is determined to bring Elsa back and prove she is not the monster everyone thinks she is. Can a true act of love save the day?

History of Frozen
2013 saw the rise of the popular Disney movie Frozen, which took inspiration from The Snow Queen written in 1844 by Hans Christian Anderson. Whilst in the Snow Queen the character was the villain of the story, Disney took a different route and made Elsa a warm hearted and caring sister, scared of her own power. The movie captured audiences' hearts with songs such as "Let it Go" and "Do you Want to build a Snowman". In 2014 the CEO of Disney, Bob Iger, announced that a stage musical was in production but would take time, as they demanded excellence not speed. Eventually in March 2018 Frozen the Musical hit Broadway, and after playing 825 shows the show closed its doors in March 2020. However, the West End was quick to snap up the show and the show opened in London at Theatre Royal Drury Lane on September 8 th , 2021, and is still going strong.

"Only issue was our seats - we were in the balcony which was very high and far away. Row in front had a handrail & the people in the row leaned forward so obstructed our view of stage. Disappointed with the seats!"
