Hello, Dolly!
The Show
Award winning actress Imelda Staunton returns to the West End in 2020 to headline Hello Dolly. The musical follows socialite and meddlesome matchmaker Dolly Levi, on her way to New York to match the miserable and grumbly, 'half-a-millionaire', Horace Vandergelder. But Dolly is feeling a little bit lonely herself and has set her eyes on Horace, time for her to make her own match.

History of Hello Dolly
Hello Dolly The Musical appeared in 1964 and was directed by Gower Champion with music and lyrics by Jerry Herman. The musical was based on the 1938 book The Merchant of Yonkers, later renamed The Matchmaker, written by Thornton Wilder. The original Broadway production won 10 Tony Awards, including "Best Musical". The show has seen four Broadway revivals and was made into a film in 1969, which won three Academy Awards.
