The ShowJersey boys tells the tale of four young men from Newark who rose to become one of the most iconic bands of all time with hits spanning five decades, and if you don't know Frankie Valley and the Four seasons you will definitely be aware of their music. Sing along to their greatest hits such as 'Sherry', 'Big Girls Don't Cry', Can't Take My Eyes Off of You' and the classic 'December 63 (Oh, What a Night) ', whilst experiencing the highs and lows, the heartaches and the triumphs of these boys from the wrong side of the tracks who went on to sell an estimated 100 million records worldwide.
With music and lyrics by Bob Crewe and the Four Seasons own Bob Gaudio, this multi award winning show is directed by Des McAnuff with a book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice. The show is split into four acts or seasons each narrated by a different member of the group Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Nick Massi and Tommy De Vito who all bring a distinctive and widely varied recollection of the history of the band.
With many of the original Broadway creative team on board such as choreographer Sergio Trujillo, production designer Klara Zieglerova, lighting director Howell Binkley and costume designer Jess Goldstein, McAnuff has created a musical extravaganza that will stay with you long after the final notes and applause have faded.
Having been seen by over 2 million people in London alone isn't it time you went and saw what all the fuss is about, although you will probably be humming their hits for months afterwards.
PLEASE NOTE: that the show is very authentic including the language used which may be unsuitable for younger viewers, so parental guidance is advised.
