Hotel and location:
In the heart of fashionable Kensington one of London?s most desirable neighborhoods, The Kensington hotel is set in a row of regency style townhouses. The Kensington?s grand stucco façade is characteristic of this affluent 19th Century district. The Kensington has recently undergone an extensive £20 million refurbishment program and from the red marble lobby to the cobalt glass roof in the bar, the results are truly breathtaking. The Kensington feels rather like walking through the doors of a lovingly restored London mansion. High ceilings and heritage décor evoke a sense of Victorian grandeur, while the hotel?s famously warm and engaging service creates a relaxed ambience reminiscent of an exclusive private members club. The wonders of the Royal Albert Hall, the Victoria and Albert Museum, Natural History and Science Museums can all be reached within a 10 minute stroll. Tranquil green spaces such as Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park are only a short walk away. On your doorstep is a haven of stylish cafes and bistros and Harrods and Harvey Nichols can be reached easily on foot. The excitement of the West End and the seduction of Oxford Street?s stores are only a 10 minutes away courtesy of South Kensington Tube which is a mere 5 minutes? walk from the hotel.

"The rooms are well furnished: ask the comparative size of rooms"
A criticism: be sure if you need drawers to ask for a room with same. one we first got only had 4 baskets fitted in the wardrobe two of them initially containing white bathroom or pool gowns
