Also within a 5 minute walk is the Church of São Sebastião which dates back to the earliest settlers on the islands. With a variety of bars, restaurants and shops within a 20 minute walk of the Vila Nova Hotel, guests will have plenty to see and do during their stay.
Getting there:
BY TAXI: From the airport. The hotel is a short 10 minute ride from the Airport, the cost is approximately 10 Euros depending on the amount of luggage.
BY CAR: From the airport head southwest following signs for Ponta Delgada, after 1km take the slight right onto the EN1-1A signposted for Ponta Delgada. Take the next right on to the EN1-1A, after 1.6km there will be a roundabout, take the second exit onto R. de Lisboa towards Ponta Delgada and follow for 700m. Turn right onto R. João Fransisco Cabral and the hotel will be ahead after 100m on the left hand side.

"excellent value for money"
a good clean, well-presented hotel with very friendly and efficient staff. Conveniently located for city centre. Helpfully booked taxi and provided "breakfast kit" for 4.30am checkout. Bath rather than shower only was welcome after long walks. Highly Recommended.
