Visitors can follow the 2 miles of ancient City Walls and Gateways which lead across the centre of York and to the many small streets with curious little shops, tea rooms, bars and restaurants. For a day at York Racecourse, guests will find this location a convenient 10-minute drive away. The hotel offers onsite parking to guests for £15 per day, with spaces available on a first come first served basis. York Railway Station is less than 1 mile away, approximately 15 minutes walk.

Getting there:

BY CAR: Heading north-east on the M62 at junction 38, exit towards Gilberdyke and after 0.3 miles turn right onto Newport Rd/B1230. Make a slight right onto Newton Rs/B1230 and continue onto Exit 38 following signs for Leeds/M62 and merge onto M62. After 7.5 miles at junction 37, exit onto A614 towards Howden/Selby/A63 and turn right to stay on A614. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Boothferry Rd/A614 and after 0.2 miles turn right onto Buttfield Rd. After a further 0.2 miles turn left onto Boothgate. After 0.3 miles turn left onto Knedlington Rd/B1228 and after a further 0.3 miles turn right onto Barnhill Ln/A63. Continue to follow A63 for 7.7 miles and then at the roundabout take the 3rd exit onto A19. After 1 mile, at the roundabout take the 1st exit and stay on A19. After 8.4 miles at Fulford Interchange, take the 3rd exit and stay on A19. After 1.8 miles continue onto Fishergate and turn left onto Fewster Way, continue straight and the hotel with be on the right.
BY TRAIN: Exit York Railway Station onto Station Rd and walk north-east towards Rougier St. Turn right onto Rougier St and continue onto George Hudson St. Turn left onto Micklegate, continue to follow this route for 0.2 miles and then turn right onto Nessgate. Make a slight right onto Clifford St and then after 0.1 miles make a slight left onto Tower St. Follow this route for 0.2 miles and continue onto Fishergate. Turn right to stay on Fishergate and then right again towards Fewster Way. Turn left towards Fewster Way and then right onto Fewster Way. Turn right again and the hotel will be on the left.
