All of the 111 rooms at the 3* Caledonian Torbay Hotel are comfortably furnished and have ensuite bathrooms. In-room amenities include free Wi-Fi, HD TV, tea & coffee making facilities and hairdryers. Many rooms overlook the gardens towards the marina. Pet friendly rooms are also available for an extra £10 per night, this should be arranged directly with the hotel. The hotel has a restaurant and bar, where guests can enjoy a relaxing drink after a day`s sightseeing, or before heading out for the evening.

Hotel and location:

The 3* Caledonian Torbay Hotel overlooks the Princess Gardens and is just minutes from Torquay Marina in the heart of the town. It is just a short stroll along the Promenade to the Princess Pier, open for visitors to take in the sea views. Visitors attending a performance at Princess Theatre will also find this hotel a convenient 3-minute walk. 5 minutes walk along the Promenade is Torquay Harbour surrounded by bars, cafes and restaurants. Torquay Station is 0.8 miles, 15 minutes walk from the hotel. A day trip to Paignton is just 6 minutes on the train where visitors can join the Dartmouth Steam Railway to Kingswear and Dartmouth.

Getting there:

BY TRAIN: From Torquay Railway Station walk south on Rathmore Rd towards Hennapyn Rd and then turn left onto Hennapyn Rd/Rathmore Rd. Almost immediately turn right onto Rathmore Rd and then left onto Torbay Rd. Continue for 0.3 miles along Torbay Rd and then keep right to stay on the same route for a further 0.4 miles and the hotel will be on the left.
BY CAR: From M5 take the Devon Expy/A38 following signs for Plymouth/Torquay/A380. Use the left 2 lanes to turn slightly left onto A380 following signs for Torquay. After 10 miles keep right to continue onto Besigheim Way/Penn Inn Flyover/A380 and continue to follow A380 for 3.1 miles. Male a slight left onto S Devon Expy and after 0.2 miles turn left onto Hamelin Way. Continue onto Rivieira Way/A3022 and keep left to stay on this route for 1.6 miles. Make a slight left onto Newton Rd and then turn right onto South St. Continue for 0.2 miles onto Belgrave Rs and then after a further 0.5 miles make a slight left onto Torbay Road and the hotel will be on the left after 0.4 miles.

Car Parking:

No onsite parking. Hotel has spaces at multi story car park nearby (10mins walk) for £6 per day. Not available to book in advance, upon arrival pull up outside hotel to unload bags and ask Reception for an allocated space.
