During their stay, guests have use of the Leisure Club & Health Spa which includes 13m indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam and hot tub. Spa treatments are also available, these must be arranged directly with the hotel. The 4* Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa is located in the beautiful scenic Ambleside Village and is easily reached by public transport or the M6. From Windermere Railway Station, taking a 20-minute bus journey through the charming villages along Windermere Lake will get you to the hotel. Ambleside is a quaint village filled with small boutique shops and eateries such as The Ambleside Inn. Taking a step out of the village will lead visitors on many different country paths to enjoy a walk or hike around the stunning Windermere Lake. There are many viewing points that can be easily accessed on foot to take in the breath-taking landscape.

Getting there:

BY TRAIN: From Windermere Station, take a bus to the hotel. Exit the station and walk left straight to Stop 1. Take either the 555, 505 or 599 bus, which takes 15-minutes to get to Stand 1 in Ambleside. Take a left down Lake Rd and walk straight to the end. The hotel will be located straight in front.
BY CAR: From M6 exit at junction 36 towards Barrow/Kendal. Follow to Kendal and take the 2nd exit at Plumgarths Roundabout onto Windermere Rd. Follow the A591 until you reach Ambleside and take a slight left onto Wansfell Rd. Turn right onto Rothay Rd and continue around. Take a slight right onto Compston Rd and then turn right again onto Rydal Rd. Continue straight and the hotel will be on the left.
