"OK but will not go back"
It was ok but had no life to it. The rooms could have been cleaner and they should look to refurbishing the whole hotel but it was fine for us as we did not spend much time at the hotel. Not a bad location but after a long day in Paris we found it hard to drag ourselves up the hill.

"The hotel room and toilet were clean but the toilet was too small.Especiallt the shower area."
Toilet is too small. The shower area is too tiny and we were hardly able to move. The room carpet looked stained and dirty. Reception staff were friendly and obliging. Breakfast service was good.

"No expectations"
The hotel was in a decent location, not the best, but a short walk to Gare de Nord and 1 1/2 blocks from metro Cadet. We reserved a non-smoking room, and asked again at check-in (assured it was) but it was a smoking room that had been aired out which makes me wonder if most rooms are smoking and they just `freshen` it for non-smokers. Room was extrremely basic (just enough room to walk around the bed but decent size bathroom) and bath towels were small. However, after staying at a few different hotels in Paris, if you go in with low expectations, you won`t be upset. On a plus, the breakfast was good and staff were friendly. You can leave your baggage in the front hall if your check-out is before your train/flight and there was Champion grocery store just at the corner, so both of those were convenient.
