"Ok hotel, central location"

The location was ok. Parking under the hotel was as advertised and we found them easily using a sat nav. The room was clean but needed airing. We had to get maintainance to fix TV which was switched off behind the unit. Shower filled up the bath and was under supplied with shower gel. View was of a wall and would have had to pay more per night to change this. Sandwiches in the bar on first evening were stale. Breakfast on the first day was not great with a lack of information on options to order from the kitchen and staff and guests squeezing past us constantly as table was sat right next to the toaster and passage to the kitchen, though a better table on day 2. Overall would probably choose another hotel for next trip

"Top notch hotel that made you feel special."

The staff were firendly and went out of their way to help. The place was clean, modern and catered for your every need. The inclusive breakfast was superb, with an excellent range of breakfasts from cereal to full English/continental. Whilst a 5 star rating the place was not `snobby` and made you feel at home. No hesitation to recomend to all for a good location to stay near Oxford street.

"the staff at the Hyett Churchill were all fantastic nothing was too much trouble"

Upon hearing that it was our 40th wedding anniversary they upgraded our room. The Hotel was spotless food excellent especially the breakfasts, very Central would definately stay there again!

"A very pleasant surprise"

After staying in many London hotels I expected the Churchill to very much similar with staff with indifferent views to customer service shabby rooms etc and I am very pleased that I was proved wrong .The staff were welcoming very friendly with very clean and comfortable roomâ??s .The food in particular breakfast also exceeded my expectations. I am a very demanding guest and would not hesitate in re booking this hotel.

"Excellent Hotel, would stay again any time."

No bad things to report on the hotel, great clean rooms, very friendly staff, good choice and quality breakfast, great location for walking around london and very close to the tube. Will be booking to stay later in the year again. Worth the money and a 5star all round hotel.

"We were upgraded to Regency club and the personal attention was excellent"

Fifth time we`ve been to the Churchill and some of the staff recognise us. We get such a warm welcome from Frances one of the waitresses Breakfasts are excellent and the service great although we didn`t fancy the dinner menu so went elsewhere.

"Luxury at a great price in the heart of the westend."

Everything about the Churchill oozed class,so easy to get to from Marlybone,and right in the heart,of the west-end shopping.Our King-view room was excellent,and our extra bed was no problem for the staff to deliver and make-up.Breakfast was excellent with a great choice from cereal,continental or full-english.The restaurant,lounge was magnificent,very relaxing and a soft pianist.We would definitly stay again.Thank you.

"Perfect Location in London Westminster 1. The most hospitable and helpful staff and marvelous full E"

We have stayed at some very fine hotels. The Peninsular in Hong Kong and Beijing,The Four Seasons, The Excelsior in Florence, The Savoy in London, The Villa San Michel in Fesiole Italy and the Carillion in Paris. They were all magnificent and many years ago,but none had a more genuinely warm, friendly and helpful staff ,at every level and at every service, especially at the Cocierge, than the Hyatt Churchill at Portman Square. When returning to London this Hotel will always remain our first choice. It is perfectly locate in westminster 1 to get the best of all experiences of dining , theater, museums and the ideal feel of London with its marvelous and civil atmosphere. Dr. & Mrs. Kimmel

High quality hotel with courteous staff. Popular with Arabic businessmen and families. Hotel forgot to place the chilled champagne in the room at the appointed time and then attempted to deliver more than i hour late - which was refused (apology with free sparkling wine later). Hotel probably more suited to business people than couples on a London mid-week break.

"Lovely hotel in a perfect position"

We booked three rooms at this hotel as we were travelling with our four daughters. Very friendly reception and the rooms were a good size with very comfy beds. Bathrooms a little small but nothing to moan about. We stayed here 17th to 19th Dec and it snowed all weekend which made it very special but because of flight cancellations the hotel couldn`t cope at breakfast and we had 20 / 30 minute waits both mornings which is not acceptable from a five star hotel. We also had a problem with the phone in our room making funny noises for a couple of hours at 3 o`clock in the morning.

We were dissapointed,as we have stayed there many times before. The room was smaller than usual and the carpet was quite dirty. Hopefully they are going to refresh the rooms soon!!

The bottle of champagne and chocatles sent for my birthday was a generous and thoughtful gesture from your hotel. The service we received was excellent, the facilities were superb, and your accomodating a late departure was very much appreciated. We will stay in your hotel for all our future trips to London.

"Very Disorganised"

Good location, very clean & tidy, helpful staff (only if you tip them). Morning is a nightmare - had to wait for around 15 mins to be seated for breakfast then had to wait a further 30 mins for a coffee. Our stay was inclusive of Breakfast but still they gave us a bill every morning for £92.00 (4 guests). The rooms were very clean and spacious with comfortable beds.We had communication problems regarding the car park - origionaly we were told it would be £30.00 per day - when we arrived the door man said it would cost £5.00 per hour!!! needless to say we parked elsewhere. I would stay there again as the location was great for us - just off Oxford Street but without the Breakfast option.

Enjoyed the hotel, facilites were good. Breakfast was not excellent it was just OK. When I paid upgrade for a view expected a view of the park, did not expect view of Marylebone Police Station. Other than that the hotel was excellent.

"lovely hotel and staff"

We had a great visit with spacious twin room. We unexpectedly traveled with young baby and there was lots of room for cot, pram and all the baby paraphernalia. Room was quiet with little outside noise. Location just off Oxford street was central and yet quiet, perfect for us.

"Nice stay in the end!"

We booked to stay for the New Year in a non-smoking room. When we arrived we were told that the hotel was very busy and would we mind going into a smoking room! We said that we would have a look, the room seemed ok as they had upgraded us apparently so we had a better view! After about 10 minutes though in the room our eyes were streaming, house keeping turned up to put an air fresheners in the room, after 5 squirts of Fabreeze they dis-apeared and we decided to move! The hotel moved us to a smaller room with apparently the same size bed, more a double than a King that was in the previous room. We then went out for a meal, the next morning no hot water, apparently the heat exchanger had broken a few days earlier and they were in the process of repairing it! We had to resort to boiling the kettle for hot water, not what you expect from a hotel of this standard! The water was fixed later that day however and the rest of the stay was problem free.

Delightful and professional staff, very well maintained in terms of cleaniness. Location good to access all the sights. The only down side was that they had a hot water problem which resulted in cold baths or showers. The manager did keep you in the know and was apologetic. In stating this would recommend the hotel fully believing that this was a one off problem that would not normally occur.
