"clean, comfortable and very fancy"

Having read other reviews, i had good expectations for this hotel. And i wasn`t disappointed. Staff are helpful and unobtrusive. Rooms and bathrooms are immaculate. The shower was the best i`ve had in a hotel, not a power shower, more like a river with adjustable temp and volume. I didn`t eat or drink here as it was a bit above my budget so can`t comment on the food i`m afraid. Transport links were great with only a 5 minute walk to nearest metro which then connected you to every part of the city. Overall, very impressed.

Only disappointment was no tea/coffee/biscuits on second night. When we requested some from reception we were refused and told it was just firstnight as "Bienvenue". They were back on the third night!

"Fabulous Hotel "

This was our second stay at La Terrass. Our first was in a Junior Suite in February 2009 and our most recent in December 2009 was in a double room - both were excellent. The hotel cannot be faulted. We will be back. Many thanks P&P Bartlett

"A lovely hotel in a quiet corner of a lively neighbourhood"

We got a three for the price of two night deal, and for that price this hotel was a bargain. The hotel is everything you`d expect from a 4 star hotel, the room was spotless and tastefully decorated, the bed linen was good quality, there was a long internet cable, and there was plenty of attention to detail such as a little wooden puzzle toy for our 7 year daughter left on her bed when we arrived, they provided bath robes and slippers... after the hussle and bussle of the busy streets of Monmartre this was a lovely and cosy place to retreat to. Apart from that the staff was very friendly and helpful.

"Fantastic for a romantic break"

Impeccable service, excellent facilities (our basic double room was a very reasonable size for this city). This place was a stone`s throw from some fantastic restaurants and the beautiful Sacre Couer. Highly recommended to all.

"The best hotel in Paris"

Me and my boyfriend stayed 3 nights at the Terrass.The room was on the fifth floor and opened to the backyard and it was really quiet. The bathroom was nice, clean and had everything in it what we needed: every day fresh towels, soaps, shampoo etc.The bed was king size and very comfortable. They changed the bedlinen every day.There was an LCD TV and coffemaking facility in the room and also a safe-room. Overall I would recommend this hotel for couples who want to spend a nice stay in Paris.

The good: friendly staff (especially for Paris), great views, reasonable price, great restaurant (breakfast was fantastic, had dinner once and loved the monkfish), child-friendly (we have a 3-yr old). The bad: slightly dated decor, small and basic bathrooms. Overall: I would go again.

Asked for more tea in my room, told by head of housekeepeing only happens on the first night. Received it on the 2nd, but not the third??. Only problem with staying here, would go back. I don`t want to sound like an old person with nothing better to do than quibble over small details but if your paying all that money, then where is my tea?

"A fantastic experience!"

My father and I rented two rooms at the Terrass Hotel, one of which was designed for wheelchair users and were more than pleased with our stay. The disabled facilities were very impressive and we found the staff to be friendly and helpful at all times. The rooms were both clean and offered fantastic views over paris and the restaurant provides a wonderful dining experience at a good price. This is a fantastic base for first time visitors as it is away from the hustle and bustle of central paris and also has a quirkiness you could only get in Montmartre. I would recommend the Terrass Hotel to anyone.

"Lovely Hotel"

This hotel is in an ideal area to explore Paris, especially the wonderful Montmartre district. Very clean, quiet, friendly staff and excellent breakfast.The view from the terrace is worth the price alone.

"Brilliant location"

A very smart hotel. The 3 nights for the price of 2 made it a good deal. Our room was smaller than I had expected and being on the first floor was noisy although the double glazed windows did help. We stayed "room only" basis - there are numerous good eating places in the immediate area. Excellent base for sightseeing. We would go again but would request a larger room on a higher floor.

"Terrass Hotel was excellent"

We were treated to a stay in Paris by our children to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday and our anniversary. Our children`s choice of hotel was perfect, the Terrass is an excellent hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly toward all quests. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The only comment I would like to suggest is that the web site includes the fact that there is an entrance for disabled, because when we first arrived I was a little worried when I saw the stairs at the entrance but we were informed about the separate disabled entrance, it would help if this fact was included on your website.

"WE LOVED THE HOTEL,LOCATION WAS PERFECT FOR SACRE CEUR AND QUAINT SURROUNDINGS"

WE WERE CELEBRATING OUR 20TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY,AND LOVED THE WHOLE STAY.3 MINUTES WALKING DISTANCE TO 100 YEAR OLD RESTAURANTS AND COBBLED ARTISAN SHOPPING DISTRICT,CAFES PATISSERIES ETC.TURN RIGHT OUT OF THE HOTEL AND AGAIN YOU COME UPON LOCAL BAKERS/CHOCOLATIERS,BISTROS AND THE LIKE.A VERY DIFFERENT FEEL TO BUSY PARIS CENTRE,WHICH IS JUST OVER THE BRIDGE IN FRONT OF THE HOTEL,.WE HAD UPGRADED TO A ROOM WITH A VIEW OF THE EIFFEL TOWER WHICH WAS WELL WORTH THE EXTRA,LYING ON OUR BED WE COULD SEE THE TOWER....SENSATIONAL! OVERALL FANTASTIQUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This hotel was a big surprise. The staff were charming and always helpful. The room was clean and well maintained and serviced each day. The concierge was always ready to answer our tourist questions. The restaurant was very nice and the breakfast definately the best we have been offered abroad and as I am on a fat free diet, which could have been difficult, I was able to find plenty to eat. The hotel also offers afternoon tea from 4.00 -5.30pm. The best cup of tea you could find in Paris. There were also tea making facilities in the room. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. However it was in Montmartre so quite a journey into central Paris.

"Food was exceptionally good"

The area was great, Hotel comfort was good, rooms clean and beds very comfortable. Breakfast was very good (busy at the weekend - it was Prix de L`Arc de Triomph day!!) Staff were very helpful but taxis on a rainy day were very hard to find despite being booked the day before. Roof terrace has great views of Paris and the hotel was just a short walk to Montmatre. Found a couple of very very good restaurants just up the road and also some very friendly bars nearby. Thoroughly recommended

"First class hotel. "

Beautiful rooms with superb attention to detail. Impeccably clean and well maintained. I booked a family room but we were given a junior suite complete with childs robe, slippers and toiletries. Very child friendly. Outstanding view of the Eiffel Tower. Lovely breakfast with great variety. Great transport links. Like home from home. Would not stay anywhere else.

"Helpful staff at concierge, front desk and restaurant, great breakfast."

Fantastic breakfast included in hotel direct deal. Restaurant staff helpful with baby seat. First room no. 109 on first floor faced over the cemetery and although very well presented was noisy at night. Asked to be relocated and the next room 419 faced to the inner courtyard - no view (unless you count air conditioning units!) but much more peaceful. Gill at Hotel Direct was very helpful initially on phone.

"Great location/comfortable ... but ...."

Our room (517) was delightfully quiet - overlooking garden and well-appointed/furnished. The staff were almost universally helpful and breakfast was a winner. Dinner in the restaurant was excrutiatingly expensive (they offer a water menu! Ye Gods) Better to eat in the nearby square. Our room was not cleaned one day - and we had to badger the evening receptionist (personality of a wet paper bag) to (a) get it cleaned and (b) to offer us free drinks while we waited. Similarly, the tea/coffee was not replenished -- until we asked for it. Other than these niggles, it`s a great hotel in a fabulous location and we`d recommend it to anyone.

the hotel has great views over the city and the surrounding area has plenty of cafes and bars. the only dissapointment was the service at breakfast with very little staff.

"Superb hotel in great location"

Just back from my third stay at The Terrass. Another fantastic weekend horse racing at Longchamp. The hotel is perfectly situated near transport links and a minutes walk from a good choice of the bars and restaurants of Montmarte. Rooms are a touch on the small size but well decorated and more importantly clean. Make sure you request a city view if you are fussy about these things. The breakfast is superb!

"Excellent location - Rm 310 was brilliant. Some great local resturants and a lovely village atmosphe"

We had a 5-night stay in Rm 310. Excellent room and buffet breakfast was superb. Staff were all very discreet and helpful. Montmatre is a delightful area with lots of wonderful resturants and village atmosphere. Easy access to many places of interest and good location for metro lines. Superb weather was the icing on the cake! We will definately return to this hotel.
