"hotel ronda barcelona"

having read some of the reviews after I booked this hotel I was feeling a little worried as I was going with my friend and I had booked it myself but on arrival I was very happy with it the receptionist spoke and understood English perfectly and she was more than helpful and very welcoming the room was really good clean spacious bathroom was perfect there was a problem with the window after I opened it it then would not close so we told reception within a few minutes someone came to inspect the window and she could not fix it so they gave us another room that was even better than the first, breakfast was first rate service first rate rooms outstanding for cleanliness comfort staff were extremely helpful polite I would highly recommend staying at this hotel to anyone needing good place in Barcelona

Room ok 3 single beds which suited us, breakfast a bit of a let down 2 slices of French bread , choirsant ham and cheese jam and marmalade , juice and hot drinks machine coffee ok. Would of liked more savory hams , cheeses and Spanish chorizo

Reception service with regard to information was poor and also when the hot water went off- no explanation as to why and no demonstration of urgency to fix the problem

"Very pleasant and helpful staff in a great central hotel"

A great place to stay within easy reach of all the best tapas bars and visitor attractions. The staff were always there to help and the hotel gave us a light and airy room with everything in good condition. The `inclusive` breakfast was somewhat meager and we felt a bit `separated` having to eat in a different room to the main breakfast area

"Average hotel, not in the best location, especially at night time."

You get what you pay for with this hotel. We drove into the city and it was not easy to find this hotel because of the one way systems. We called a few times to ask for help and asked if they could come to us and direct us but they wouldn`t do that which was very stressful. The area is not very good although its not a long walk to all of the tourist spots so if you`re on a budget, which we were then its not the worst option. The staff were friendly except for the parking issue and the breakfast was good.

"Room nice, location OK, food OK, clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff"

No complaints, just what I was hoping for. Staff were very helpful and had nice attitudes. The room as nice, quite big and very clean. Location is a little off the beaten track but only 350 metres or so from a big metro stop I would come back.

"Very conveniently located to amenities"

The room should have at least a bed side fridge and the remote control for tv should b in the room rather than to b asked from the reception. Hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful

Difficult to believe directions, but follow and you find hotel. 10 minute walk Las Ramblas. Very helpful desk staff. Small but bijou room. Ideal for short stay.

The facilities were good. The rooms were clean. The staff were excellent - very friendly and helpful. Only small thing I would say is would have liked tea/coffee making facilities in the room - but then I like a cup of tea first thing in the morning and at night.

"NOT A 3* HOTEL"

This hotel is 2* at most. Breakfast was cold both mornings, rooms very basic make sure you ask for a room with a balcony. Toilet wouldnt flush but they fixed this right away. One of the receptionists was very helpful when we had problems with our flight home. Would not stay here again though. Hotel hard to find when we arrived.

All was perfect for the price that i paid. I would say, however that the room taht we were given let in very little natural light and the only view that i had was that of a hanging cement mixer and wheelbarrow. No exactly a good impression

"Good Locatiomn - Friendly Staff - Good Breakfast"

Very good experience. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean if a little dark. Location in Ravel great. Good breakfast.

Rooms clean but very basic with no external windows. Poor bathroom layout and very difficult to get in shower and reach towel. Excellent breakfast.

"Very helpful Staff"

Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly, spoke english which made travel planning and our stay enjoyable and easier. Hotel was clean and tidy, they made up the room each day and had everything you need for a basic stay. Can even language change the TV if needed. Excellent location, close walk to everything. Would stay again.

"hotel ronda is a 1 star hotel (just) not a 3 star as published."

if the hotel ronda did not have a restaurant this hotel would have no stars. the area itself is quite a dangerous place. the rooms are far too small for two people. it is closed in by the other buildings around it which are extremely ugly.no pool no entertainment litterally nothing in this area. many people mainly filiphonos gather in front of the hotel all day and night and are very noisy. there is no wonder this hotel does not reimburse for any early departures as they clearly state in their advertisement, (there is a reason for stating this) and i think i now know many people to have left this hotel early. BOOK AT YOUR PERIL.

"Generally good service, polite staff and reception and rooms clean"

the hotel is in the centre of a square which has a cafe. People sit in the square and socialise. At might thrtr is noise coming ftom the streets which can be heard from the rooms, possibly excited tourists. Generally, altough marked up as 3 star, I would rate it 2 star as the rooms are a bit ancient and bathrooms need better configuration. There is a free safe in the room, free TV and its all in spanish. Overall, I think its a bit overpriced for what its offering. Other than these facts I have no complaints, I would stay there again if the price was lower.

"VERY UNHELPFULL STAFF **** AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COST******"

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL THE RECEPTION STAFF ARE TOTALY USELESS THEY MADE US GET OUT OF A TAXI BECAUSE THEY WOULD NOT GET THEIR COMISSION ON THE TRIP. THIS HOTEL IS THE WORST ONE I HAVE EVER STAYED AT.

"Perfectly adequate for the purpose"

This is a basic hotel but adequate if you require a base . Rooms were clean enough and sheets changed daily. Restaurant looked fine but as a family we did not eat there as lots of places just outside the hotel for breakfast etc. Tube system excellent and can catch tube from around the corner. Only one negative is that hotel is noisy as lots of comings and goings,this did not interfere with us However if you need silence when sleeping then ask for appropriately situated rooms. Staff were friendly. Easy walk to Las Ramblas.

Cheap enough. Good location. Quite basic though. I wouldn`t suggest a long stay however was perfect for our short weekend trip.

The room was very dark because of the tall buildings blocking daylight so it would be beneficial if there were more electrical lighting in the room

The hotel is quite central and is close to a small but pleasant piazza. The main street La Rambla is only 10 minutes away and there are quite a few good restaurants and bakeries close by. The staff are friendly and the service was good.
