"Central location ideal for west end."

Great location,plush interior,we had a noisy room ,plumbing!!! im sure not all like that.Breakfast very good,full english etc,staff very helpful and polite,would stay again if price good

We upgraded to a suite and it was worth it, free bottle of wine!! Staff really friendly and helpful, The only concern I had was the cost of drinks in the bar. Well worth a weekend or longer

I took my husband for his birthday and had not stopped at this hotel before,we found the hotel very tasteful,very central and the service excellent.I would recommend this hotel and would definately stay again.

"Great service, confortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff."

I chose this particular theatre break because the hotel was close to the subway and the Adelphi Theatre which was a must because my mum is disabled and walks with the aid of a walking stick. I didn`t realise just how close everything was which was a lovely surprise. The hotel was beautiful, the staff friendly and helpful. Would recommend this theatre break to anyone.

"A shame about the building work at 0730!"

Have stayed before and like the hotel. Refurbishment is in progress in the Buckingham annexe. It is not meant to start until 0900, but we were wakened by banging which soon progressed to drilling. Avoid the annexe and the rest of the hotel is up to its usual standard. I am getting a fair refund.

"Disappointing to find water off until 5pm when we needed to eat at 5.30 before goint to the theatre"

There was major building work going on and there was no water to our room including the toilet until 5pm. We had a booking for dinner at 5.30 and so were unable to shower before going out. In addition we were woken at 7.30am by a noisy hoist and building work outside the room. The hotel had upgrade suites available when we checked in yet we were still given a room without water and building going on close by. Our stay at the hotel was a Christmas present from our family and they would be horrified of they knew. The hotel staff on the other hand were very helpful and polite and the hotel itself is charming and comfortable.

"noisy!"

room not ready at booking in time. Delayed by 1 hour, then NO water in room untill 5pm. Very noisy on arrival, but as we were heading straight out again it wasn`t a problem. However it was a problem at 7.30am on a Saturday morning being woken up by relentless banging and drilling. NOT A GOOD STAY

"Great location, very central to all major landmarks and a lovely feel about it too."

NIce rooms, great reception staff and breakfast was good too! One or two little niggels re maintenance issues but they responded quickly when these were reported.

Stayed here in between Christmas and new year for abit of shopping/sightseeing. Reception staff very helpful throughout the stay. Location very good. Will definatley use again when in London.

Pleasantly surprised that the hotel was quiet despite being above the station. Hotel staff exceptionally helpful and polite. We stayed in the refurbished rooms which were beautifully appointed - my only disappointment was that our room had no bath but did have a large shower and the bathroom was immaculate. Our friends in the adjacent room had a bath and a generally bigger room at the same price. I will definitely recommend the hotel - the location was perfect and the hotel was calm and tranquil. A much needed sanctuary amongst the hustle and bustle of London.

"SUPERB"

I booked 2 rooms in this Hotel as a Christmas Present for family. I was at first worried that perhaps the superb price of each room INCLUDING breakfast, may indicate that the Hotel was of a poor standard. In short, there was no need to worry. The Hotel, rooms, public areas and staff were incredible. Those who received the presents, were absolutely delighted with the Hotel in every way. I even received photos via MMS from my family to demonstrate how grand the hallways were and indeed how nice the rooms were on arrival. Add to this the central location, it really was perfect. We would, and indeed will, use this hotel again. I would like to add that the internet booking agency I went through to book the rooms (Hotel Direct) were outstanding including contact via electronic means and over the telephone. All in all, a perfect present for Christmas made easy to book. Terrific.

"Perfect Location for central London"

This hotel is in a perfect location for visiting central London and is ideally placed for the tube. Perhaps we were unfortunate but our room overlooking shabby roofs and various air venting equipement was dissapoining. It was small and the two chairs and table simply got in the way. The decor was past its best with marks on the walls and generally in need of re-doing. Perhaps we were put in it as a reflection of the special rate we had got on the internet. However it was very quiet and there was ample hot water. The hotel itself was very nice and served an excellent breakfast. All the staff we encountered were polite and friendly, special thanks go to the room cleaner who hurried to catch us after we left our room (to check out) having left behind a mobile phone!!

"Good value hotel in convenient location"

Staff were very friendly and room very clean.We had a good breakfast and this hotel suited our needs. Only thing that could have been better was the shower head which was poor

"A stay that hit the mark!"

A very welcoming hotel and staff with a very good setting. Central and close to tube and rail stations with minutes walk to covent garden and centre. Lovely breakfast and room ideal. Would definately return. Thanks.

"Excellent hotel, clean, relaxed, all staff very friendly and helpful. Superby location."

Only negative comment would be that drinks in the hotel bar are very over priced and as such this does not entice you to relax in the bar area.

Room was a bit small - but corridors, staircases had plenty of room. Windos had very restricted openings. Excellent reception staff.

The Hotel was lovely and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Right from booking in to when we left, there were no hassles, problems or delays - just a lovely stay with excellent service and lovely food. The reception staff were very friendly and good humored and the waiting staff in the restaurant were very attentive, despite being very busy. We have stayed in approximately 20 different hotels in London, of various standards, and would rate this hotel very highly in comparison to others where we have stayed. Thank you for a lovely stay - we hope to stay again sometime!

"Put in a shabby room for being price concious."

Fantastic looking hotel, amazing reception, hallways, bar etc, but that`s where it stopped. Our room was very poor, broken shower, wall paper was falling off the walls, graffiti in the walls, drafty windows...... Very poor.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone I know staying in London, whether they are a couple, family or with their friends. We were there to celebrate New Year and the location was brilliant. The staff were so helpful giving great suggstions on where to go and where to eat. It was certainly well worth the money :)

"Outstanding value for the West End. "

Really great stay. Christmas decorations were very well judged and great wide stair cases give the place a wonderful air of luxury. One tiny thing that stopped the outstanding rate: a pair of socks found under a chair! Great service throughout.

"fantastic refurbished rooms "

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay we upgraded for an extra 35 pounds to a junior suite which was fabulous. This included a bottle of wine. Highly recommend. Only down side was the noise of the traffic outside.
