Getting there:BY TRAIN: From Oldfield Park Station, take the pedestrian overpass and turn right on to Brook Road. Almost immediately turn right onto Highland Terrace and then turn left onto Brougham Hayes and the hotel will be on the right.
BY CAR: From M4 exit at Junction 18 for A46 to Bath/Stroud. At Tormarton Interchange take the 1st exit onto A46 After 3.6 miles at the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A420. Turn left onto Freezinghill Lane and after a further 1.6 miles turn left. Continue for 1.4 miles onto Lansdown Lane and then at the roundabout take the 1st exit onto High Street, Continue onto Crown Road. Continue onto Weston Lane and continue straight onto Combe Park. At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto Newbridge Hill/A431. Make a slight left onto Ashley Terrace/Upper Bristol Road/A4. Turn right onto Windsor Bridge Road and then left onto Lower Bristol Road/A36 and then turn right onto Brougham Hayes for the hotel.

Hotel was in a great location, clean and staff friendly. I did email a few times ahead of our stay to inform it was for a birthday, I was hoping that they may have done something in the room for our arrival. Anything, a typed happy birthday etc. That was my only negative with the stay.

We`ve been coming to this hotel every year for a long time.There did seem to be a dip in standards a few years ago cleanliness being an issue, but now I`m happy to say our stay was perfect.The staff were friendly and helpful our room was perfect and made for a fabulous few days stay in Bath as the hotel is perfectly situated.

Really impressed with hotel    the staff were brilliant & very friendly, nothing too much trouble.  The room was large, very clean & comfortable indeed.  The food & drink served was excellent would definitely recommend to frinds & family

"Reasonable."
It`s the little things that can make a big difference.  I would have liked to see decaffeinated tea bags in the room; though I realise these are not usually provided in hotels; plus hot chocolate - one of the staff said if they had hot chocolate the staff would take it!  We stayed 2 nights and the teacups weren`t cleaned after day 1 nor was the sink in the bathroom.  The temperature control unit wasn`t working properly.  We were a bit cold after walking back to the hotel so needed to warm the room, I kept turning it up and up and it was still blowing out cool air.  I reported it but it still didn`t work (presumably someone did have a look at it).  When I had a shower about 9.15 in the morning the water was only lukewarm, not nice!  The room was nice enough but insufficient storage space.  Breakfast was very good.
