Room and hotel facilities:

All of the rooms at The Highlander are individually designed with colourful decor and a Scottish tartan theme. In-room amenities include free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, mini bar, tea & coffee making facilities and ensuite bathroom with rainfall shower. Buffet breakfast, which can be added during the booking process, is served in the lobby bar area. PLEASE NOTE: Tourist Tax is 12.5% of the room rate, payable on arrival at the hotel.

The 4* Highlander Amsterdam is centrally located close to Dam Square and just a short walk from Centraal Station and the Eurostar terminal. Also within easy walking distance are the iconic canal ways that Amsterdam is famous for. Visitors can walk across the bridges and stop at one of the many cafes and bars that have pavement tables. Other popular locations such as the Rijksmuseum and the Heineken Experience can be reached in less than 30 minutes on foot or using the tram network.

Getting there:

BY TRAIN: From Centraal Station, exit onto Staionsplein and walk left accross the square. Turn right onto Mandenmakerssteeg and follow this route to continue onto Dirk van Hasselssteeg. Turn left onto Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal.
