All of the rooms at the 3* Tavistock Hotel are simply decorated and all have ensuite bathrooms with shower. In-room facilities include free Wi-Fi, flat screen TV with radio, hairdryers, and complimentary tea & coffee making facilities. Full English Breakfast is served from 7am-10am Monday to Saturday, and 7.30am-10.30am on Sundays and Bank Holidays. Snacks, light bites and drinks are also served throughout the day (from 10am Monday-Saturday and from 12pm on Sundays) in the 1920`s styled Woolf & Whistle bar and lounge, inspired by the novelist Virginia Woolf who lived in the area. Please Note: Rates with Half Board option are available to book which include Full Breakfast and dinner from the buffet at the hotel`s Indian restaurant Poppadom Express, which serves a regularly changing menu of authentic dishes. Alternatively guests can eat at the restaurant at their sister hotel The Royal National.

Hotel and location:

The 3* Tavistock Hotel is ideal for a break to London being close to Euston Station, 8 minutes walk and Kings Cross Station an easy tube ride, one stop on the Piccadilly Line to Russell Square. Situated in Bloomsbury and only 7 minutes walk from the British Museum, the hotel is also an ideal base for visiting the shops and theatres in the West End. Oxford Street, London`s premier shopping destination, is just 20 minutes walk away and Covent Garden where there are plenty of cafes, bar and restaurants as well the famous market piazza is less than 25 minutes on foot. Guests who are in the capital for a theatre break will also find this hotel most convenient as Shaftesbury Avenue and London`s Theatreland are approximately 15 minutes walk away. Iconic landmarks such as the London Eye and Buckingham Palace are easily reached by the tube in less than 20 minutes.

Getting there:

BY TRAIN: From any London Railway Station take the Underground to Russell Square which is on the Piccadilly Line. Upon exiting the station walk west on Bernard Street towards Herbrand Street and then turn right onto Woburn Place. After 0.2 miles turn left onto Tavistock Square and the hotel will be on your left.
Heading south-east on Great West Road/A4 at the Hogarth Roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Great West Road Chiswick/A4 and continue to follow A4 for the next 3.3 miles. Turn left onto Queen`s Gate and then right onto Kensington Road/A315. After 0.2 miles turn left at Exhibition Road and then almost immediately turn right onto South Carriage Drive. After 1 mile South Carriage Drive turns left and becomes Park Lane/A4202. Continue for 0.5 miles and use the right 2 lanes to turn right onto Brook Gate and then continue onto Upper Brook Street and then turn left onto Park Street. After 0.2 miles continue onto Portman Street and after 0.6 miles turn right onto Marylebone Road/A501. Continue straight to stay on Marylebone Road for approximately 1 mile and continue straight onto Euston Road. After 0.1 miles turn right onto Upper Woburn Place/A4200 and then right again onto Tavistock Square. Turn left to stay on Tavistock Square and then go almost immediately left again and the hotel will be on your right.

No onsite parking at this hotel, but guests can park in the underground car park at the Royal National hotel which is a adjacent and costs £18 for 24 hours.
