Baz Luhrmann's 2001 film re invented musicals for a modern audience, setting the stage for a renewed appetite for bold, imaginative musical storytelling. Translating the film's revolutionary spirit from screen to stage and bringing Moulin Rouge! The Musical to life was a decade long journey that culminated in its 2018 premiere in Boston before transferring to Broadway in 2019. Since opening, Moulin Rouge!
