The Park Plaza London Waterloo is a 4* hotel on London`s South Bank.  A fantastic base for sightseeing in London, many of the city`s iconic attractions are within walking distance.   Within 15 minutes you come to The London Eye and Sea Life London Aquarium as well as the London Dungeon and The Imperial War Museum, which is only 5 minutes walk away. "Get the basics right"
It`s all well and good having a decent central location and well designed and appointed amenities but the room was a disappointment. I`m not sure what was superior in this superior room. 
The hotel is situated right by Waterloo station. As such, you`d think sound proofing would be a top priority. The reality is that you have to put up with the long and slow screeching of trains leaving the station. To the details: the curtain was damaged and the headboard worn and peeling, the pillows were dreadfully flat, and the shower not only dingy and smelly but with very little pressure.
I can`t recommend the park plaza here. I`ll not mention the £50 breakfast for two as, unsurprising, I decided against this.

Classy hotel, stylish rooms, great pool/spar area. Only quibble a loose shower head that kept  folding back against the wall. Extremely annoying.

"Broken shower toilet doo and cold water. Very noisy "
Arrived and went out without checking as we assumed paying such a premium all would be good. Get back and went to use shower. Shower toilet door broken wouldn`t shut. Water poor flow and water only just warm. Very noisy room. Next day cleaners knocked on door at 1800 to clean room. We declined as was about to get ready to go out. Would not stay there again very poor experience of a very expensive hotel. Spoiled our entire weekend.

Idea location London Eye. Hotel opposite Lambeth North Tube and walkable to Waterloo main station/Waterloo Underground tube. Hotel amazing. Highly recommend. Clean and everything you need in one place.

"Great Hotel"
We had a problem with the room on first night of stay
through no fault of the hotel.The Manager rectified it by upgrading the room to our satisfaction.  Nothing was too much trouble and everyone of the staff we met was exceptionally pleasant. Great restaurant and staff in the hotel and again lovely welcoming staff. Well done to all.

Over priced for what it was.
Breakfast was less than satisfactory despite having paid nearly £60 for 3 people on top of the room.booking.
I`ve had better breakfast at a Travelodge and Premier in at a fraction of the price.
The room was OK.
I wouldn`t stay there again based on the breakfast alone
