This is the greatest show! Come Alive! The Greatest Showman Circus Spectacular is an extraordinary homage to the beloved 2017 Hugh Jackman musical The Greatest Showman, featuring all the chart-topping hits from Michael Gracey's musical - including 'A Million Dreams' and 'This Is Me!'. Rather than simply re-telling the film's story, Come Alive - the Greatest Showman Circus Spectacular faithfully re-creates the experience of one of P.T. Barnum's legendary circus shows inside the theatre, transforming the Empress Museum into a 700-seat big-top! In the absence of Barnum himself, the story this time is focused on Max (Aaliya Mai), a young circus enthusiast who is pulled into the spotlight by Simon, the charismatic circus ringmaster (Simon Bailey) and becomes wrapped up in the glamourous world of circus showbiz. After plans for a film sequel fell through in 2020, fans of The Greatest Showman were left disappointed - at least until Simon Hammerstein, the new show's Creative Director and a descendant of musical legend Oscar Hammerstein (creator of The Sound of Music), had the idea to re-capture the film's magic and use the songs in a new, original story. Now the show has captured the hearts of audiences ever since the debut , and there are no signs of it slowing down.

- The Greatest Showman is not the first musical to have been inspired by the life of controversial ringmaster P.T. Barnum - a Broadway show, simply titled Barnum by Michael Stewart had its first run in the 1980s and is set for a UK tour in 2026.
- A rather less glamorous version of P.T. Barnum appeared in Martin Scorsese's 2002 crime epic Gangs of New York, played by Game of Thrones actor Roger Ashton-Griffiths; Griffiths himself once appeared as Judge Turpin in a stage production of Sweeney Todd.
